Yoga is beneficial to children of all ages, and it has been found to be particularly so for kids with special needs. Studies have shown that yoga benefits children with autism and ADHD. A dedicated yoga session for children with special needs by our partner, Trinity ARK,  has enormous benefits. It is a physical activity that's non-competitive and it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, concentration and balance which help to develop confidence and self-esteem.

Our sessions greatly enhance mother and child bonding, as it involves partner work, yoga poses, music, singing bowl, handicraft and massage. Our program reduced kids' aggressive behaviour, social withdrawal, and hyperactivity as it seemed to play to the strengths of kids with autism.

What is SUP?

SUP stands for Stand Up Paddle. SUP is a relaxing, enjoyable physical activity engaging the mind and motor skills. Modifications are made for SUP Yoga for children with special needs to ensure gradual success. With constant encouragement and care, children with special needs can enjoy and experience a new, fun water sport while gaining independence and confidence.
